Same problem, different paperwork.
Obtainr is built for people whose work stops while they wait on someone else's document. The trade changes what's being chased. It doesn't change why chasing is hard.

What these jobs have in common
Three things, and they're the reason generic reminder software doesn't help:
- The person holding you up doesn't work for you. They're a client, a counterparty, a referee, a subcontractor. You have no authority to make them do anything, including log in.
- A reply isn't the same as an answer. They send something. It's the wrong month, half the list, or a photograph of the wrong page. Somebody has to open it, judge it, and ask again.
- The asking has to stay polite. You need this relationship after the document arrives, which rules out the blunt instruments.

Not on the list?
Obtainr doesn't know anything about conveyancing or construction specifically. It knows how to ask a named person for a described document, read what comes back, and decide whether it matches. That works anywhere that shape of problem exists, and there are plenty of trades we haven't written a page about.
Worth saying what it isn't, though: Obtainr is not a document management system and it will not help you find things you already hold. It chases documents that don't exist in your systems yet, from people who haven't sent them. If your problem is searching a large archive, this is the wrong tool and we'd rather say so.
Or tell us what you're chasing and we'll tell you honestly whether it fits.
